I work with adults and adolescents experiencing a wide range of concerns. Building rapport with the client is an important part of therapy and allows the client to build trust in myself and the work that we do, plus allows the client to make progress throughout treatment.

I use a trauma-informed/client centered approach, balancing between following the client’s process through therapy, as well as stepping in when the client is needing more direction. Your concerns in therapy are met with respect through a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic alliance.

I have experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, as well as those struggling with OCD behaviors or dealing with infidelity. I utilize CBT, DBT, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy, and I am EMDR trained. I know all clients are different and will utilize interventions that best fits what the client is needing on their therapy journey.

Yaren Altan, AMFT/APCC

I believe in building meaningful connections with my clients and helping them reach their potential to lead fulfilling lives. I take a client-centered approach, letting you set the pace, and I will walk alongside you to offer support and collaboratively work on developing goals to help you move toward what you seek in life.

I implement evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT existential therapy, and Family system approaches to suit each client’s needs. I have experience working with panic disorders, anxiety, depression, end-of-life issues, and feelings of meaninglessness. I also work with individuals experiencing family or relationship conflicts and trauma, such as family pressure, emotional blackmailing, immigration, and self-worth issues.

I speak Turkish and English fluently and enjoy working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. I provide an honest, welcoming, and confidential space to help you cultivate self-awareness and compassion. You won’t be alone on your journey to well-being.
